Why do i need probate.
When the value of the deceased’s estate is above £5000, probate is necessary. Most Estates are above the value of £5000 as they usually include property. Therefore the majority of Estates will enter Probate. Inheritance Tax is only paid on Estates above the value of £325,000. Inheritance Tax is likely to change in the future.
